Legal Issues and Ethical Issues
There is both positive and negatives about having to use the predator, the invasion of privacy, the feeling of being protected, and having a large amount of civilian casualties.People only assume that the predator is a man hunter although it's true it could become useful when the United States need help finding someone or intelligence on a foreign country and collect any information on what they are doing, these are things the CIA does in order to keep the United States safe. CIA Director David Petraeus wants an increased drone fleet to "bolster the agency's ability to sustain its campaigns of lethal strikes in Pakistan and Yemen and enable it, if directed, to shift aircraft to emerging Al-Qaeda threats in North Africa or other trouble spots." (Taylor,2012) For the protection of the United States, the military and security organizations have to do things which is inhumane."If a drone kills an actual terrorist but leaves multiple, sometimes dozens, of innocent civilians vaporized as well, this creates a brand new set of enemies and blowback. Attacks like this question the use of predator drones because in attack someone else could create the wanting for revenge which creates more warfare. Ethically this is wrong because it shows that United States will not allow another attack like September 11 to happen again. Legal problems of these attacks are that it may seem like the United States aren't attacking terrorist groups but civilians which could cause turmoil between countries.
